The battery that came with my Dell laptop (Inspiron 1525) finally died after two years, and I was not about to spend big bucks on an official Dell replacement. This 9 cell battery works well! I have followed some of the suggestions made by others, like charging the battery fully and then letting it run most of the way down before recharging. If I’m just browsing the web, working in Word or Excel, or messing around with photos, I usually get close to four hours of battery life. Playing games drains it much faster. I suspect I’m losing battery capacity a little quicker than I did with my factory battery…I’ve only had this one a couple months and it seems like I lose a few minutes each time I charge it – could be my imagination, but that’s why I gave it only four stars. It does stick out an extra inch beyond the back of my laptop, but it’s not that big of a deal. Overall, it’s a good battery at a reasonable price.

Bought the battery based on the reviews in Brilliant Store, Inc advertisement. Did the break in process as in the directions. Third time charging the battery, it wouldn’t. Checked the BIOS settings and the AC cord but to no avail. Put the original 6 volt “Dell” battery in and it started charging. Guess one should buy the Dell battery instead of off brand since they are sporadic in performance.

Kroo 11234 Retro Sleeve for 10-Inch Portable Laptop (Pink) Review

This case is exactly what it says it is, and is well made. I’m pretty confident that it will fit all 10 inch wide screen netbooks. It fits our Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with the 6 cell battery snuggly. There would be more wiggle room on a computer with a 3 cell or flush battery. There is a thoughtful and well constructed flap next to the zipper to protect the laptop from abrasion from the zipper. This is an uncommon and very thoughtful feature. Without it, the shiny netbook finish on the Mini 10 would surely get scratched. I have other sleeve type cases that don’t have this feature. I use them on my metal cased Latitude, so it isn’t an issue on that computer, but it would be on a Mini, especially if you put a decorative sticker on it.

I am not a big velcro fan, but the one use of it on this case is in a good spot. The long straight flap that you see just above the curved flap, is the one with the velcro tab. If it wears out or fails, that flap will remain pretty secure. The other two openings, both the main laptop pouch, and the small curved accessory pouch have very solid zippers on them. They even have coated pull tabs to make them more ergonomic.

Speaking of the accessory pouch, it is small, but big enough to fit the power cord and a small mouse or other accessory. Again, I can only speak for the Mini 10 power cord, but I assume that the other Netbook makers use ones that are just as compact as Dell.

I think that you will enjoy this case. It is perfect for protecting the netbook in your purse or backpack.

I really liked this laptop sleeve for my 14″ inch ASUS laptop. The fit was good, not tight, not too loose. The best feature of this sleeve is the compartment for the power cord. I don’t understand why there are even sleeves without a side pocket for the power cord. Generally when you take your laptop somewhere, you’re almost always going to need your laptop power cord, no!?!? Anyways this Caselogic sleeve was exactly what I was looking for a laptop sleeve, the little side zip up pocket for the power cord is perfectly sized. If I absolutely had to pick one con about this sleeve in trying to be unbiased, I would say the thickness of sleeve is not what I expected. Again, this is a very minor ding, the sleeve isn’t thin by any means, it does have some bulk, I personally would have liked to have a little more bulk. In actuality, the lesser padding is a good trade for additional weight. This product really is 4.5 stars, not 4 stars!

I am using this for HP dv4-2170us 14.1″ laptop. The interior has padded plush lining, and it hugs my laptop perfectly. But I feel a little more cushioning should have been added to the edges for extra protection.

P.S. Like most other sleeves, it does not provide protection against stronger impacts. If you are looking for more protection you may want to buy laptop bag.
